Synopsis
In the picturesque New England town of Winter River, the recently deceased Maitlands, Adam and Barbara, find themselves trapped as ghosts in their own home after a tragic car accident. Unable to leave their property, they are determined to keep their beloved home from being inhabited by the unbearable Deetzes, the eccentric family who buys their house.
Desperation leads the Maitlands to seek the assistance of the notorious bio-exorcist, Beetlejuice. With his outlandish attire and mischievous demeanor, Beetlejuice offers to help them scare away the Deetzes. However, the poltergeist has his own sinister intentions and unleashes a series of chaotic and terrifying pranks, creating a pandemonium that spirals out of control.
Meanwhile, the Deetzes' teenage daughter, Lydia, possessed with a morbid fascination with the supernatural, becomes entangled in the otherworldly drama. She forms an unusual bond with the Maitlands, empathizing with their plight and longing to help them.
